Invading Squirrels

Squirrels can cause a surprising amount of damage in a roof space and can be a major threat to the safety of you and your property. We provide a trapping service for the removal of the squirrels, we much prefer this to poisoning for a couple of reasons; firstly we have a body that we can remove rather than for the squirrel to curl up somewhere inaccessible and rot away causing secondary infestations of flies as well as obnoxious foul odours. Secondly because poison is not being used there will be no secondary poisoning of non target animals thru the consumption of a poisoned squirrel, so assisting in the preservation of natural wildlife.

Mole Control

We don’t offer a no mole no fee guarantee – it doesn’t mean anything. What we do guarantee is that we will catch the mole causing all that disturbance; we just won’t give up. Now we charge a set-up fee and a per mole charge with a minimum visit charge. This enables us to carry out successful mole control with great results at a fair price to you.

Rodent Problems

We are absolute specialists in providing long-term solutions for rat problems and have a long list of clients that can vouch for us. We don’t just throw some bait about, we identify the point of entry into the property, whether its thru the roof, a hole in the outside wall, thru the cavity or from beneath the property as a result of a break in the drainage. We are fortunate in being able to offer a complete in-house service that can identify the entrance point and carry out any repairs required to prevent them from re-entering in the future. We can carry out drain surveys to identify any breaks or any old uncapped lines that allow for rat ingress, we can also carry out any repairs necessary, whether it be excavation work or insitu drain repairs we can do it.

Urban Fox Control

Foxes are not classified as ‘vermin’, so local authorities have no legal obligation to act against them. On occasion its necessary to control urban foxes, often because of Health and Safety reasons. When fox control is necessary we can provide either a trapping program or a fox deterrent and proofing program. If we trap a fox then it will be humanely despatched on site, we do not remove a fox from its home range and abandon it elsewhere, this would (or certainly should be) an offence of cruelty under the Abandonment of Animals Act 1960 and is condemned by the government’s Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA). Reputable wildlife rescue groups do relocate foxes occasionally, but use a system known as ‘soft release’ where they fox is protected and fed so that it has time to settle into its new environment.

Rabbit Control

We offer the traditional trapping, netting and ferreting services alongside shooting and gassing. We can provide single one-off visits or personalised annual contracts. We can cover all environments; golf courses, airfields, garden centres, nurseries, arable and pasture farmland, railway embankments, highways, equestrian centres, schools, universities and private gardens. Rabbit control might not be something you want to do yourself but you can trust us to do rabbit control humanely, safely and legally for you. Some of the rabbit control methods that we use include gun & dog, ferrets, purse nets, gate nets and long nets, cage traps and box traps, aluminium phosphide poison gas, rabbit proofing and rabbit fencing.

Mink Control

Mink are non-native, originating from North America. A few are the descendants of some mink farm escapees but the majority were deliberately released from fur farms. These American mink cause devastation to local native wildlife, especially water voles and birds. We always use live-catch traps when trapping because of the possibility of non target animals being caught. This allows us to release non target species back to the wild unharmed in accordance with the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.Its a legal requirement that once mink are captured that they be destroyed and not released back into the wild or be kept in captivity.

Any other pest animal

As pest controllers there is not a problem that we are aware of, that we have not been able to find a solution to, so if we have not covered it give us a call anyway, I’m sure we can help you.
